Common questions about pricing

An AI-handled ticket is one where Quack sends the customer a response at or above your configured confidence threshold. Tickets where Quack escalated to a human without sending a response, or tickets Quack simply read and passed to your queue, do not count toward your monthly limit. You pay only for the automated responses Quack delivers.

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately, with the plan difference prorated for the remaining days in your billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period. You will always be notified before any automatic charge.

Quack will notify you at 80% of your limit. Once you hit the cap, Quack stops auto-responding and routes remaining tickets to your human queue for the rest of the billing cycle. Quack never sends an AI response on an account that has exceeded its plan. If volume spikes are frequent, we recommend upgrading to the next tier rather than risking coverage gaps.

Annual plans are billed upfront and are not cancelable mid-term for a refund. However, if Quack materially fails to perform (for example, the service is unavailable for more than 24 cumulative hours in a billing year), we will work with you on a fair resolution including credits or pro-rated refunds. We are in early access, so our standard posture is to be fair, not adversarial.

During early access, we onboard teams with a 14-day pilot included in the Starter plan. You connect your documentation and a sample of closed tickets, configure your first routing rule, and see Quack handle real tickets in your staging environment before you go live. Payment is collected at the end of the pilot period, not before.

For Starter plans, onboarding is self-serve with documentation. Growth plans include a 1-hour onboarding session with our team where we help you configure ingestion, set initial confidence thresholds, and wire up your helpdesk integration. Scale plans include an extended onboarding across two sessions plus Slack channel access with our support and engineering team during setup.
